SimplePlant is made by Komodo AI. This page says what the app collects, why, and how to delete it. Last updated: set on first publish.
What we collect
- Your account. If you sign in with email, Apple or Google: your email address and name.
- What you put in. The content you create in SimplePlant, and what SimplePlant makes from it.
- App usage and crash reports. Which features are used and errors in the app, to fix problems.
How we use it
Only to make SimplePlant work for you. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites. Service providers process data for us under their terms: Cloudflare (storage and hosting), Clerk (sign-in), Expo (app updates and notifications), PostHog and Sentry (usage and crash reports), Resend (emails to our support team, including content you report), Google Gemini (AI answers; see AI services). List every other vendor here before the first store submit.
AI services
SimplePlant answers you with third-party AI services. The app shows what is sent and to whom, and asks your permission before anything is sent. You can withdraw that permission at any time in Settings › AI services; the AI features then stay off until you agree again.
- Google Gemini receives what you type in the help and feedback chats, and what you say when you talk to Support or Feedback. It uses them to write the replies, run the voice conversations and summarize each chat for the team.
- Google Gemini receives the plant photos you scan, to assess each plant. You can try one scan at simpleplant.app/scan without an account; that page says so before you upload, and we delete the photo within 24 hours unless you create an account to keep it.
Cloudflare hosts SimplePlant and carries this data to these services. They process it only to provide their service to SimplePlant, under agreements that require them to protect it at least as well as this policy does. We don't let them use it for advertising, and we don't sell it.
Deleting your data
Delete your account and everything in it from the app's settings, or without the app.
Children
SimplePlant is not for children under 13.
